Hi,
When a teacher creates an assignment with multiple attempts, the grading only shows the score from the last attempt. How can I set the gradebook to use the highest attempt instead?
I noticed this option is available in quizzes, but not in assignments. Is there something I need to enable or configure?
Thank you!

Hi @Balasubramani,
For assignments in Canvas, there isn't really a concept of grading attempts, it's just the assignment overall that's getting graded (on whatever attempt or attempts the teacher wants to look at). This is why you don't see options on which grade to keep like you do in quizzes where each attempt is more independent. I can't say for sure the reasoning behind the differences, but I know Canvas has worked this way since we implemented it almost 14 years ago now.
Hope this info helps!
