How to adjust all assignment grades by a set amount

I am finalizing our end of quarter grades and the students did not do as well as I thought they would on the final exam. I'd like to adjust the grades so that the highest grade (47 out of 50) gets a 100%, with everyone else's grade adjusted up by 3 points. I don't want to curve the grades to an average score, just make it so the top exam grade gets 100%. Is there a way to automate this in Canvas, or do I have to do it manually?

I believe that if you change the assignment point value to 47, but don't adjust the student's scores, that will do the trick.

Yes that works for a percentage based grade (which my class is) - though if it were all point based then it probably would not be a good option. But otherwise an elegant solution!
