How to submit an idea

Hello, i am trying to submit an idea i dont know how to do so, i can not find submit idea button or link unfortunately. 

I had wanted to request a feature to be introduced in Canvas LMS where students can directly contact the teacher. Not in the discussion panel, but direct inbox. The same with students to be able to do that. I think it would be a safer way. 

Also it could be great if groups could have a group chat feature inside the canvas LMS system.

The How do I create a new idea in the Instructure Comm... - Instructure Community - 659932 guide will show you how to submit an idea request right now (the process may change in the future).  I have a few extra comments on this for you though.

First, you may need to wait a couple days to submit an idea if you just created your Instructure Community account.  This is to help prevent spam bots form overwhelming the system.

Second, With regards to students messaging teachers from the Canvas inbox, that should already be something you can do today following the How do I send a message to a user in a course in t... - Instructure Community - 616669 guide.  If you're not able to do that in Canvas it's likely because your school/institution disabled the fictionality for some reason.  In that case, you'd really want to speak to your school more than Canvas, sine the functionality is definitely available.

You can create an idea on the Canvas Ideas page by pressing the Submit Idea button. You can view the guide detailing the steps for reference here: How do I create a new idea in the Instructure Community? 

I understand that you would like to submit an idea for a feature that would allow the students to message the teacher of their course. Please note that students are able to message the teacher of their course using the Canvas Inbox as long as the course is active and the student role does not have the permission to message other users disabled. You can contact your Canvas admin for more information on what permissions the student role has enabled for it in your institution's Canvas instance.

Hi @aniwenetzonline ...

In addition to the information that you received from @chriscas and @BenceTeremi, I noticed that your current rank is "Community Novice".  As Chris mentioned, there's some things you'll need to do to "rank up" in the Community so that you can submit ideas.  (This is similar to leveling up in some video/board games.)  Here are a couple Guides for your review:
