Hello Canvas Community,
I am using a tablet and can't log in. I've checked to make sure my password is correct, checked my email, etc., but nothing is working. I need help 😢
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hello @CallieAlreza
If your institution has a hosted cloud account, you should be able to find it by name in the app set up. The login process should then mirror what your institution specifies for desktop web browser access. Under the assumption that you've already tried this and are having issues...
Another thing you can do is use the QR code sign in option if you are able to log into the desktop web browser. It's found under the account menu.
Click on the QR for mobile login link. This will generate a code that will allow you to sign in with the QR feature of the app.
If you using the Free for Canvas Teachers instance at https://canvas.instructure.com the QR login process works there too.
Hope that helps!

No, I'm using the Canvas login page on a tablet and on the web.
@CallieAlreza , if you already haven't followed the advice of @jsowalsk, and reach out to your institutional support entity, I would make it a point to get with them.
For all intents and purposes, authentication in Canvas is not device dependent meaning it will be the same whether you're using an app on a mobile device, a mobile browser, or a desktop browser.
If your institutional support entity cannot offer a solution themselves they should be able to escalate to Instructure via a support case.
@CallieAlreza Have you tried contacting Instructure support?
No. I have no idea on how to reach them.
@CallieAlreza I would recommend contacting Instructure support.
@CallieAlreza Have you tried contacting your institution support line or Instructure support?
Just figured out I had a bad password.
@CallieAlreza Glad to hear it.
