I have to ask for permission for every video my teacher wants me to watch?

As the title says, every time I want to watch a lecture video that my teacher wants me to watch, I have to request to watch it. Any tips?

@AlexHalpren  I apologize that no one has responded to your question before now. I suspect that's because no one in our forum is familiar with such a feature; requesting permission to watch a video  is not part of Canvas, and I wonder if it has to do with a setting on your browser. Were you able to get an explanation from the teacher?

Can I show a video from Netflix in my classroom? Can I make 25 If not, you want to ask your media specialist to look into gaining those rights.

@Thompson5428  Generally speaking, schools must obtain permission from movie distributors to show paid content in their classrooms—and in some cases, must pay for those rights. When I was teaching my school contracted with an organization that would facilitate the purchase of rights for specific films for use during the semester. If this is something of interest to you and your school, please contact the Canvas admin for your district for guidance.
