I think I see how to create an assignment--in this instance, a midterm test with essay questions--and I think I see how the students submit the answer. But where does the essays from the student appear in Canvas for me to grade?

Never used Canvas before so asking very basic questions. When students submit an essay test answer, where do I find it to grade?
