Instructor Unable to Reply to Student Messages Sent Using Canvas for iOS

Bit of a mystery. I have been searching the guides and question forum for similar issues and can't find any. Next up I will need to submit a ticket, but thought I'd ask here first.

I'm an admin. I have an instructor who is unable to reply to student messages sent by a student using Canvas for iOS, but who can reply to student messages sent from a regular browser. There is no reply arrow button available for the instructor to click on in the inbox. I have verified this by acting as the instructor and as both students, just to investigate. Using Canvas for iOS is the only commonality I can find between the two conversations affected.

This started yesterday and there is no other apparent issue. The class is open and published. The instructor is accessing Canvas with Chrome 109.00. Any thoughts or ideas?
