Is there a way that a teacher can post an announcement to all of his/her students in all his/her courses at once?

Is there a way that a teacher can post an announcement to all of his/her students that he/she teaches at once?  Or must it be done at the course level?  Thanks.

This is currently not possible with the current web-based interface.

There are a couple of feature ideas asking for this. Canvas says they are aligning the two, but they don't say which one they want us to vote for, so I'll list both.
