JavaScript for Articulate Rise post an updated score on quiz

Hi!
I have an Articulate Rise file with quiz. When a student completes the quiz the score posts to the gradebook. When a student takes an additional attempt to receive a higher score the updates score does not update in the gradebook. I contacted support and they suggested writing a script to add to the index page. Has anyone had any luck modifying the index page to tell the LMS to post an updated score from an additional attempt from the quiz? Thanks!
