Leading Questions in Math

I am looking to try and create a quiz in Canvas where a student can go through make a measure and then do calculations off of it. Is there a way to write quiz questions so that Question B can look at the answer given for Question A and check that value? So that I  could walk students through a practice problem by having them solve and check steps instead of doing an all or nothing.

I know that there are formula questions in which I can assign a value or simply create just one fixed measurement, but I want it to work for any measurement typed in for the first answer so it checks the process not just a set of known values. Is this doable? Or is it simply something I have to grade by hand?

Sorry, there is not a question type that accepts an input from a student and then asks further questions based on that.  Very cool idea though.  Consider submitting it as a feature request: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Idea-Conversations/idb-p/ideas
