Marking all future assignments for dropped student

Administration wants students who drop left on the roster. I have set up Canvas to mark all missing assignments with a zero. I have to now manually change every zero to excused for the dropped student. Is there a way to mark all future assignments for a student as excused?

If you export your gradebook as a CSV file, you can set "EX" in all remaining cells for the dropped student(s). Save. Then import the CSV back in. Canvas will show the grades that will be excused, and you can confirm.
