We have been able to implement the new Microsoft Education that was just released. We have a series of courses that use Teams spaces for group collaboration. However, with this new tool, unlike the prior tool (Microsoft Teams Classes), each section using the integration require admin hands on intervention. Has anyone had success rolling this integration out in a way where admins don't have to setup these settings (see attachment) on each course section?
[To understand this next part, please find the article from Microsoft entitled "Deploy the Microsoft 365 LTI® app in Canvas". I was not able to insert a link]
If this matters, we are using the 170000000001936 instead of the 170000000001935 integration as we are not rolling this out to all sections and don't want all instructors to see this option. Not sure if that makes a difference or not in having the touch each course section as an admin.
Hi @TedKocher,
I do not have an answer for you but I am going to try to add the link to the "Deploy the Microsoft 365 LTI® app in Canvas" article that you referenced.

Hello @TedKocher,
It may be because your Admin settings are currently set to keep Teachers from creating their own Teams under "Microsoft Teams creation". We toggled on "Teachers can create teams" and this allows a teacher to create content in their course on their own (a meeting, a teams site, etc.) without admin support. We also installed the 170000000001936 version because we wanted the option to be Off by default.
However, the issue we have encountered is that when a Teacher tries to create a Recurring Team Meeting, the calendar glitches (starts automatically moving both the start and end calendars back by a day on a continuous loop) and the meeting cannot be created. Individual (non-recurring) meetings are working as expected. I have attached a recording of this behavior. Are you also encountering this issue?
