Module sections marked as "Completed All Items" when that isn't true...

I've missed a few assignments because canvas will mark a module/week section as "Completed All Items" with a green checkmark, when in fact I've missed softchalks entirely.  Is there a fix for this on the way?

Sometimes canvas will wait to mark an assignment as done until it is graded, sometimes not at all- this makes it pretty useless for keeping track of which assignments we have and haven't done.  Solutions?

Hello @AndrewWay

Thanks for posting in the community.

I understand that you are seeing Modules completed with a green checkmark although not having completed all the items in the Module itself.

As well as different Module Requirements and different functions like you were seeing as having to be graded to continue. This would entirely be up to the setup of the Module Requirements by the Teacher. These Module Requirements would be able to be adjusted to have you either just submit, or to score a certain amount of points. If you have to score a certain amount of points to continue, that would be something that would need to be graded to continue in the Module progression. Adding Requirements to a Module

If your Course is using LTI Assignments, like Softchalk, that is something that would need to be set to be marked complete upon submission, and therefore show a green check mark once marked done. This is because LTI submission assignments do not pass a submission to Canvas to be seen by the Module Requirements. So the Teacher can't set it to mark complete once submitted, as this is a limitation of LTI assignments. So your Softchalk items might not have a green check mark next to them because LTI assignments are limited in this regard. However, we would need to ask the instructor about how they have it setup, as they can include these assignments in the Module Requirements, although they would be the best to contact about this.
