We have a course with two sections in the same shell. One section was created in error and not meant to be used. However, as we were processing students through self-enrollment in Catalog, I added a bunch manually into the wrong section. We are now a week in and I want to make sure they are all seeing the correct announcements and due dates. If I edit the sections now, will they lose their submissions, grades, etc.?

Hi @EllaEpshteyn1,
If you edit their sections, grades and submissions should be fine as those are tied more to the course shell itself than the section. You *may* lose some analytics info, but it's hard to say for sure what exactly would be impacted. The biggest thing in my mind is that you mentioned Canvas Catalog. If enrollment was done through Catalog, and you have certificates set up in Catalog, moving the section in Canvas would probably impact the certificate being given at the end of the course.

Thank you @chriscas ! The certificate is actually tied to the section I am moving them to! So, this is super helpful.
