I work with teachers who are logged in as observers in classes for multiple students they are working with. So, they have multiple classes where they are observers. Recently, we noticed that Canvas stopped allowing more that 1-3 course cards on the dashboard. Is there a way to get Canvas to allow more cards (10+) to appear on the dashboard at the same time?

Hi @DouglasBeam ...
Have you tried reaching out to Canvas Support? This certainly seems like unintended behavior in Canvas. I would recommend having a conversation with Support to see if they have any suggestions for you. I'd be curious to know what they say, so if you could please come back to this thread to provide an update after these conversations, that would be helpful.

@DouglasBeam hello and welcome to the Community! A new feature to Canvas is the ability to change between the different people we are observing. This came out recently to help parents, and teachers like yours, who observed multiple students. In the top right of the dashboard, I see your teacher's name in a dropdown menu. Click here and see if her students are there with their courses.
I've included a picture of your screenshot with the dropdown circled. This link from the Observer Guide might be helpful as well.
Thank you for the reply!
We definitely see the drop down menu. That is a great feature, but the original question about allowing all of the tiles from all students that a teacher is observing is still unanswered. Is it possible to populate the dashboard with all of the tiles for all of the classes that a person is observing?
About the dropdown menu - I received another question from a teacher whose dropdown menus contain former students. How can we remove students from the dropdown menu?
Thanks!
Douglas
Click "Courses" and then "All Courses." There are stars to the left of each course. Click the stars for the ones you want to show up on your dashboard.
That feature is currently not working. No matter how many stars, only 1 or 2 courses show up on the dashboard.
