Navigation/Tasklist Horizontal

So, I was wondering, if I could make the navigation taskbar/list horizontal like how it's shown in the picture below. I've been trying to look all over the internet to figure out how to do it, yet I couldn't find anything. I know this is possible since I was in a course with one. Please, someone help me.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...  Canvas actually used to have a text-based global navigation menu at the top of the screen...but they changed it to what you see today...with a global navigation menu on the left side of your Canvas screen.

I wonder if you are looking at the Canvas for Elementary theming?  For example, take a look at the video within this Guide:

Is this what you were looking at, by chance?  Please let us know...thanks!

Is there a way to get that Elementary theming today with the free Canvas?

I'm honestly not sure.  My gut tells me no.  The reason I say this is that the "Canvas Elementary Theming" option is a setting that can be turned on/off at the Canvas account level by Canvas administrators in paid Canvas environments.  Since FFT (Free For Teacher) Canvas environments are free, there is no back-end administration area available to turn that option on/off.  I even logged into my own sandbox course in FFT, and I there isn't an option for "Canvas Elementary Theming".  I was hoping there would be an answer in here, but I don't see anything related:

That's just my observation, and I'd be happy to be wrong...if someone knew of another way to enable this.  Sorry that I don't have any other information to share at this time.
