New Quizzes - create a question group and pick X number to show up on the quiz

In New Quizzes, I would like to be able to select a group of questions from a bank and have the quiz randomly pull a set number of those questions into the quiz.  This was a feature of the Classic Quizzes that I really liked.  

I do not want to create a whole new bank of questions every time I want to pull in a random set.  

Is that feature in the works?

Hello @jocelyn_white Similar to Classic Quizzes, you are able to select a random block of questions from item banks. Here is the guide for "How do I add all items or a random set from an item bank to a quiz in New Quizzes?"

However, this only let's me pull randomly from the entire bank.  I do not want to pull randomly from the entire bank.  In Classic quizzes, I was able to make a question group from a bank--and pull randomly from that.  It is different, and the Classic quizzes way was better as it allowed more flexibility and less work for me.  

Now, in New Quizzes, to make this work, I would have to make a small separate Item bank for every group of questions I want, and I do not want to do that.

When will the "question group" feature be added to New Quizzes?

I am not sure if or when Instructure will add a "question group" feature to New Quizzes within Canvas.  (I'm a fellow Canvas user like yourself, so I don't have any inside knowledge on what their internal plans are.)  However, I can point you to the New Quizzes roadmap...so that you can at least get an idea of what things are coming in the near future and down the road...

Scroll down the page just a bit, and you'll see the "New Quizzes Roadmap" broken into three tabs (quarters).
