I am trying to add a question for an algebra class that requires students to write a polynomial in standard form.
When I use the backticks on numbers and variables, the + and - signs are recognized but the 3x^2 is not.
Is there a way for fill in the blank questions to recognize numbers/variables/exponents as an option?
Having the terms in a word bank would be helpful.

So, like this:
I believe you did the exponent as a superscript in the rich content editor (RCE), but the textboxes don't allow for that. So the workaround I used was to keep it unicode. Here they are for reference: ¹²³⁴⁵⁶⁷⁸⁹⁰
In Windows, you can find them using Windows + ., then selecting Symbols (the 5th option) -> Math Symbols

Below are some screenshots showing the process that @Gabriel33 described for getting to "Math Symbols" in Windows. This is showing in Windows 10 but the process is similar in Windows 11.
