No Email Notification

I'm a freelance teacher. Whenever I post an assignment or quiz in my canvas teacher account, My students don't get a notification on their email, so most of them miss checking the posted assignment.

Please help if I can enable any settings to send them a email notification

Thank you for contacting the Canvas Community. We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with students not  receiving their email notifications. For every user in Canvas, we allow you to customize what you want to be notified about and how often.Including push notifications to other email or SMS messages, etc. While the default for students is to have assignments and quizzes to be sent, students can opt out of that. Please send them this guide and ask them to ensure that their notifications are set up correctly:
