Notifications

Hi all,

I am learning how to use Canvas through the 'Growing with Canvas' course. I just need to know about notifications. If I change notifications from my user profile does this change any settings for anyone else using the course? Or does it just change how I will receive notifications? I have been added to a couple of courses and I don't want to muck things up for them. Thanks.

Notification settings are personal to you only. You don't need to worry about messing up notification settings for others ... because you can't mess them up for others. Everyone controls their own notification settings. There are notification settings that can be configured about your user account level (so that it affects all courses), but you can also set notifications at the course level (so that you get notifications for some courses and not other courses).
