OpenLMS to Canvas

Our College is in the process of moving from OpenLMS to Canvas, starting in the fall. OpenLMS has offered to take a final snapshot of our Moodle instance and store it for 2-3 years. I am curious if anyone has made this move and if they have used the OpenLMS storage and snapshot. For retention purposes do we need to keep this data for any reason? We currently take a backup of courses that produce an MBZ file, is this enough? I apologize it is not really a canvas question, but I figured many of you have migrated from Moodle to Canvas.

We migrated to Canvas in 2012 from a different LMS, and did opt to have them maintain our previous course files for a specified time to satisfy our state retention requirements. It is likely your state has similar requirements, and you should review them.
