PC to Mac (opening doc)

How do you open a power point presentation or pc document (lesson plan, worksheet, etc..) on a mac laptop? I received a new laptop and don't remember which toggle on the computer allows for that transparency

You should be able to open the respective documents in Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, Keynote). Pages is the Word processor, Numbers is for Excel documents, and Keynote are for PowerPoint presentations. The Microsoft Office suite is available for Macs though and you should be able to open with that if you have that installed on your Mac.
