PDF links on Copied Pages

Hello! I am an instructional/tech coach and am trying to help a teacher that is having trouble with her Canvas pages. She has a page within a course that has links to PDF documents. She has copied that page into another course and now some of her links do not work. She is having to reupload all the links in order for them to work. It's very inconsistent, though. Some of the links are fine and others are not. Any ideas?

Can you please describe how this instructor has "copied" the page into another course?  If, for example, the instructor has copy and pasted the contents of the page from one course to another (which includes links from the original course), that will not work.  It makes sense that the links would not work in the other course...simply because the links are pointing to the original course and not the other course.

The instructor could upload the files to the other course and re-link them ... that is certainly one solution ... though it might take a bit of extra work and time to do this.  Or, there are a couple other options she could try:

• Use the course import tool to copy specific content from one course to another.  She could select the pages and files she wants to copy from one course to another, and the links should update accordingly without needing to manually change anything.  How do I select specific content as part of a course import?
• Use the option to copy individual content from one course to another:
  • How do I copy a page to another course?
  • How do I copy an assignment to another course?
  • How do I copy a discussion to another course?
  • How do I copy a module item to another course?
  • How do I copy a quiz to another course?
  • How do I copy a quiz to another course in New Quizzes?
