Pairing Code For Tutor?

Hi there,

I am a tutor and several of my clients use canvas. They want me to log into their gradebooks and help monitor their assignments/grades. Is there any way a tutor can log in to multiple student accounts and view their activity? One student gave me a pairing code but I am unable to use it (I believe) since it is meant for parents. Is there another way to see their canvas activity? I don't need to be able to do anything in their canvas gradebook aside from see their assignments/updates from teachers and things like that.

Hi @JeffDippel !
The best way to go about this is by creating an observer account that is intended for parents, however can also be used by mentors and tutors (I know lots of tutors that are observers for students on Canvas). This allows you to sign into one parent / mentor account and view all of the students under an institution that you are paired with. Everything that you've mentioned that you said you need to be able to do would be satisfied with an observer account (unless the school you're pairing with has it set up otherwise, which I doubt would be the circumstance).
