Please autosave data entered in speedgrader - or at least change button to "save" instead of "submit assessment"

I understand that SpeedGrader uses a 2 steps process, and can autosave entered data for a short period of time. However, too often, in particular when working with new markers who worry about posting the marks too early, all the marked data can be lost before the marks are submitted.
The data entered needs to auto-save, or we need to be able to access back logs of previously entered data in SpeedGrader. I understand that we need to hit "submit assessment" in order to save. But "submit assessment" is unclear information. We don't want to submit it, as it still needs to be reviewed or completed, we just want to save what has been entered.
This SpeedGrader issue leads many to mark on a separate document to make sure they don't loose data, or leads to have to re-mark all assessments. Either way, it has considerable impact on marker time.
My request: either find a way to auto-save, or change the "submit assessment" button to: "save data".

Hi there, @IBCan ...
It sounds like you are requesting different functionality to the SpeedGrader than what currently exists. To make requests and suggestions like this, you'll need to submit a feature idea request here in the Canvas Community. However, please know that right now the entire feature idea process is undergoing some changes. While I don't really know when the new process will be in place, you can read more at: Turning Your Feedback into Better Prioritization and Release Processes: Our Path Forward.
Once you have finished reading through that blog post, there are some additional Guides that I'd like to direct your attention to:
- What is the feature development process for Instructure products?
- How do Ideas work in the Instructure Community?
- What are the guidelines for submitting a new idea?
- How do I create a new idea in the Instructure Community?
I hope these links will be of some help to you as you formulate your idea for submission. (In fact, you could probably copy/paste most of what you've already written into a new idea.) Good luck to you!
