Students have taken a quiz (Classic type). I decided to accept an additional answer to the last question. I added the answer and expected Canvas to give me the option to automatically regrade the quiz, but it did not. From what I could find online, this may not be an option until all students have submitted the Quiz, but 3 students are out due to illness and will need to make it up later. Is there a way to get Canvas to regrade the quiz?

MaryAnn,
Thanks for the reply. It's not connected to a question bank. I found the problem. Apparently if you add an answer to a multiple answer question, it disables the regrade option. You can change the correct answer, but cannot add or delete answers. This makes no sense to me. In this case, the students had come up with an acceptable answer that I hadn't anticipated. When I added that as one of the correct answers, it disabled regrading. I had to regrade it manually. I've learned my lesson, and will build in a couple of "dummy answers" for multiple answer questions that I can change if I need to "add" an answer.
Hello @ChrisNeefus
Is your quiz connected to a question bank? According to this article there is a regrade restriction when it comes to question banks.
A work around it for you to manually regard the student's quiz and override it in SpeedGrader/Gradebook.
