Roll Call Badges

In Roll Call, can the students see the badges that the teachers uses? What is the purpose of the badges? They do not show up on the attendance report?

Hello, the roll call badges are used on the teacher end here https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-use-Roll-Call-Attendance-badges-in-a-co... to give more options regarding if a student was present but maybe there for another reason.
