Rubric as Default in SpeedGrader

Is there any way to have the Rubric screen as the default screen in SpeedGrader?

Do you mean you want the rubric to automatically open when you open SpeedGrader?

If so, then there is no built-in way to make this happen. 

However, I did write a script that can keep it open once you click the "View Rubric" button. See QuizWiz: Enhancements to SpeedGrader and Quizzes for more information. In particular, it functions by adding a button that lets you update the rubric, advance to the next user, and then automatically reopen the rubric on the next user.

With the appropriate programming skills, one could modify that script to automatically open up the rubric. When the rubric is open, it covers up the grade and it has not been a high-demand request to automatically open the rubric.

With all due respect, this is a solution (thanks, btw), but I don't know if this is the kind of solution we're looking for exactly.

As @James stated it is not possible in Canvas by itself.  

Could you elaborate on the kind of solution you were looking for?  From reading your original post my answer would be that when you open speed grader the rubric is in view ready to be used.  Then to read into your response, you want this integrated in Canvas and not a "third party" fix or script that requires adding extensions into your browser.  I can understand that sentiment completely.  Especially if it is your institutions policy that you would not be able to use them.

However, I have been using about 8 to 10 of the scripts written by James and I have no problems with them and I find them exceedingly helpful.  Would I like all of these items to be included in Canvas - Yes.  But when there is a possible solution that I can use and I see no issues with it, I am going to use it.

Thanks for the response. I'll have to look into these scripts. I've never used them before and this has piqued my interest.
