Hello,
I work at two community colleges and use rubrics to grade speeches. Is there such a thing as an auto save for rubrics as you are progressing through them while grading? On more than one occasion I have accidentally hit the wrong area and advanced the page and lost my comments. It would be so helpful if the rubric was saving automatically.
Thank you

Hi @jp015 -
That's a great question and use case! Right now, that is not possible with Rubrics. However, there is an idea in our Open status you could follow. Any updates from our Product Team will be reflected there and on our Roadmap. [Rubrics] Assignment Rubric auto-save
How do Ideas work in the Instructure Community?

Is there an update for this? I just lost several comments AGAIN because my hand swiped something it shouldn't have and it exited the rubric I had spent a while grading and putting in detailed comments. This happens way too often. I have found a few chats about this topic on the community, but I don't see a proper solution yet. One of the discussions was set as completed and it lead me to another chat that showed a menu that would ask if you wanted to save changes if you clicked away from a rubric, but I don't see that function on my version. I have to stop what I'm doing, save and then reopen the rubric which is not convenient.
Please help me find a solution that doesn't involve having to type my comments in another program and then copying and pasting each one into Canvas so that I don't lose my notes. Life is stressful enough.
Thanks,
Janice
(Ironically, I just noticed that my comments on here are auto-saved... why not on the rubrics?)
A warning message is super helpful when accidentally navigating away. When the internet connection drops, though, comments and scores are also deleted/cleared out. An actual autosave would help with this. Thanks
