SCORM keep highest grade--still no response from Canvas?

Our institution just switched from Blackboard to Canvas. I rely heavily upon SCORM in one of my online classes, and everything worked well in Blackboard. One major issue with using SCORM in Canvas, however, is that Canvas only keeps the most recent grade from a SCORM package, and it's impossible to see the number of attempts a student has made at an assignment. I've read that so many users have these issues, dating back years, and yet Canvas has not come up with a solution? My course relies upon mastery-based grading, and if Canvas isn't going to keep the highest grade, I at least need to see students' previous attempts at the assignments. Can anyone help with a workaround? I'm using Storyline 360 to create my SCORM packages. Thanks in advance, hivemind!
