Send message to Instructors in a Term

Is it possible to send an email to all instructors of a particular term using Canvas? For example I'd like to send an email to all instructors scheduled to teach during our summer term, but want to send that email via Canvas (not our internal email system - Google). I'm not seeing the ability to select just a term in Canvas admin Inbox.

Hi @lukekm,

That is not possible using the built-in functionality for the Canvas LMS. I believe you can do this if you also subscribe to some of Instructure's other add-on options.

What you can do is post an announcement (it would appear on the Dashboard and be sent out as an email notification) that is set to be visible for everyone with the "teacher" role (or whatever role you use to enroll your faculty into for regular semester courses) but that does not allow you to restrict by Canvas terms.

Another option would be to enroll faculty into a course (possibly on a semester-to-semester basis) and use the Canvas Inbox to send them all a message.

P.S. If they have notifications turned off, they may not see notification of the announcement.
