September 1, 2021 has come and gone, but Google Doc Cloud Assignments is still here. Is it here to stay? It is so much better than Google Assignments. I hope Google Doc Cloud Assignments is here to stay!

Can someone from Canvas please reply to this message. I switched to Google Assignments, because I thought I had no choice. I would like to switch back to Google Doc Cloud Assignments if it is here to stay.

In addition it doesn't appear that Google Assignments LTI 1.3 works across blueprints to associate courses which is highly problematic.

Google Assignments LTI 1.3 just doesn't seem to work as well as the old Google Drive Cloud Assignments.  Grading on the iPad Canvas Teacher app of Google Docs submitted through Google Assignments is iffy at best; it doesn't look like you can use the Apple Pencil at all for making annotations on student work, and I've found the app is at least frequently unable to render files that have images in them. Other teachers here have found that if students submit a Google Sheet, then plots the students created don't survive the conversion to the Microsoft format.
