Significant Lag

Has anyone been having lag issues on Canvas LMS?

In the last 48 hours, I am an instructor for a course, I have had many complaints from my participants and co-teacher, about the lag on Canvas. 

It doesn't matter what device, assignment, gradebook, or time of day, the issue persists.  Some have even reported, including myself, a failure to load error or a gateway error (it kicks you off the LMS when that happens).

I have cleared my cache, rebooted my computer, and made sure that everything is up-to-date, and the issue still persists with me.

At this moment I am at a loss of what to do or try to get this issue resolved for myself and my participants in the course.  Suggestions?

Hello @CJDavis24 ...

A couple days ago (on 11/7/2025), some users did report slower load times within Canvas, but those issues were resolved later that day.  You can check out Instructure's status page by visiting: Instructure Status.  On this page, if you scroll down a bit, you'll see previous day histories and the notes about the events that happened on November 7, 2025.  Further, at the top of this screen, there is a link where you can view the up-time for your own school's Canvas environment, but keep in mind that the data for your specific school is up to 24 hours old.
