Skyward-Canvas-Student Account

This is question is for those of you that your district uses Skyward for grades. I understand that Skyward is integrated with Canvas. When ever I get a new student, it usually takes 24 hrs to process, at our campus, before they show up in Canvas.

I need to a student account so that I can make short clips of what the students will actually see. I understand there is a Test Student built in Canvas, but when I switch to Student View, it has limitations.

With all this online learning that we are currently experiencing, I would believe this is possible to add a student account and have it listed as: Student1, Demo1 or  whatever.

So, the question is, with our district using Skyward for grades, can another student acct be added?

Please advise.
