I have a faculty member that says that the Speedgrader view for discussions is narrow and causes embedded images to have scroll bars slowing grading down (See the attached. In the image if the faculty missed the scrollbar they would have graded the student as missing information). I tried to recreate this but was unable to.
This is not due to html code not being responsive (width="100%") because I tested that.
Why do some student's images not fully show up in speedgrader and horizontal scrollbars are added?
Is there a way to help students so this doesn't happen?
Thanks
Marybeth
The scroll bar is there because your browser window is not wide enough (in pixels.) Here are 5 possible fixes:
Option 1: Maximize the browser window that holds Canvas.
Option 2: In the browser, hold down "CTRL" and press "-" a few times. This will zoom out. As long as you can still read the text, the scroll bars should eventually go away.
Option 3: Increase your screen's resolution. This will be under the operating system's settings.
Option 4: Move to a PC with a larger/higher resolution monitor. I love my 4k screens.
Option 5: Move to a PC with multiple monitors and stretch the browser window that holds Canvas over several screens.
