Student Annotations are not printing on downloaded pdf even though I have opened the document in Adobe.

I have a teacher who wants to download the student's responses and sheet from a downloaded PDF from a Student Annotation assignment through Canvas. We have opened the document using Adobe Reader and checked to ensure we are printing the document and markups, but the students' answers are not printing. Please advise.
