Teacher, Observer, Student login mash up problems

Hello!

I am an observer for my son in an online academy.  I use my personal email for that.

I am a teacher in a different section of that academy. I use a school email for that.

I am a student who uses Canvas. I use my personal email for that.

The problem is that when I try to log in as a student, Canvas automatically takes me to my observer account (for my son) and denies me access to my student account, even with the invitation.  I was allowed in my student account once and I did try to change the default email so that I could access it through a different account, but it would not allow me to do that.  I'm wondering how I should handle this problem - open a new email account completely or try to have my instructor change the default email.

I have an observer account and can't get a teacher account started. Even with a different email, somehow it still goes to the other account.
