Hi Annette,

Unfortunately we, here is the global Canvas Community, cannot help you with this as the policies of your local institution are going to govern what rights the role of TA is afforded.  If you want to limit what TAs can currently do in your course, your institution may possibly create a custom role for TAs in your area.

I also have this issue. I run a small tutoring business in which I am the teacher, and I have two teaching assistants.  It is imperative for me to protect my work by not allowing the teaching assistants to be able to edit, copy the pages, or access the code for pages.  It seems strange that in the free version the TA and Teacher have essentially the same editing capabilities. Anyways, strange or not, I am more than prepared to pay to have the ability to protect my work. However, I have been told that the minimum price for a Canvas Studio account runs in the thousands of dollars per year.  Is there a middle ground where I can either protect my work on the free account or pay a reasonable sum, in my opinion between $150 to $350 per year, for the ability to customize user roles? If not, I guess I will find an LMS which is willing to offer paid options for smaller fish.
