Term Dates?

To all

   I'm a newbie admin.  The admin "position" was rolled to me when the actual admin left our school.  Suffice it to say I'm not well versed in canvas.  I received a question today and need some guidance as to where to go.  I appreciate any help.  Here's the request/question:

 "I am also on canvas and the term dates were not changed.  John always went into canvas and ended the MP date early, because of us posting grades early.  He would start the new date early, so it was easier for us to see our canvas grades in each term."

  Where do I go to do this?

For the longest time I was aware of the Canvas Instructor Guides and Canvas Student Guides, but had no idea there also were Canvas Admin Guides.    

Here are the full Canvas Admin Guides -- I find these SOOOO helpful!

Here are the Guides about Terms.  

But I think what you want to look at are the Grading guides -- this is where you would manage the Grading periods!  Specifically:

• How do I add grading periods in an account?
