Hi,
We updated the term end date today from 6/29 to 6/30/2022 for Summer1. The Instructor and the students were unable to view the course last night. After updating the term end date, the instructor can view the course but the students cannot. Does the instructor need to republish the course? How do we make the course viewable for the students again? Thanks.

Hello @AbidaShaikh
Thank you for contacting the Canvas Community. We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with students accessing a course after the term date ends. It could be one of three possibilities and you can check these options to give them access.
1. The course does need to be published for student access.
2. Check the course settings and they have their own set of dates. There is an option to restrict student access after the course ends. Make sure that is not checked and/or remove any end date in the course.
3. Check the term permission/dates within the admin tab on the left. Once you click on terms in the left navigation, there is a small pencil to edit the terms. You can check the dates for students and teachers. Likely this date will need to be extended or the course settings can be changed from "term" to "course" as well.
Here is the Canvas guide:
Hopefully this helps!
