Unexpected error ID. 36788

Sometimes, when I upload an image into a question, in a question bank, Canvas informs me that it has been an unexpected error, with the ID of 36788. The result is that the image doesn't upload normally and the question starts a never ending buffering, the buffering only stops when I try to edit the question, and then I realize the image was actually uploaded, but it shows as a background too, and the file name appears at the end of the question too. What can I do to avoid this error?

I'm sorry you are receiving this unexpected error when adding images to a question, in a question bank.  It sounds like there is something going on in the background. I recommend opening a case with Canvas Support by emailing: Support@instructure.com

You will want to include details like:

-The error ID you posted above

-A link to the course/page in Canvas where this is happening

-Screenshots (as attachments) of the error you see

-Any other details you find pertinent
