In the past, when a student resubmitted an assignment, the "Ungraded Submission" icon would appear in the grade book. However, it is not appearing now.
How do I fix this?
Thanks!

I tested this, @jasondpoole, and was unable to replicate what you reported from the instructor's perspective. I graded a student's submission, saw the grade on the Grades page, the student submitted to the same assignment again, and on the Grades page I see the icon indicating an ungraded assignment.
Things are different from the student's perspective: the student's view of the Grades page after the second submission still shows the grade they received on their first submission. This occurred even after reassigning the assignment.
That's too bad, as students don't see on the Grades page that a resubmission is waiting to be graded. Since you asked this question, can you contact the Canvas help desk? This feels like a bug to me. I'll do the same, and perhaps between us this will be fixed.

Hi Gregory,
I finally reached the Canvas group here at the University I teach. They are looking into it. I will reach back out if they are unable to get it working.
Thanks so much for your response!
Have a great day!
