I've just signed both my daughters in for the first time, as the links were sent to my (the parent) email. So, it logged them both in with my email and then asked me if I wanted to link the student accounts. I did not realize at the time we could create a parent account separately, so I clicked for the accounts to be linked.
Now, it's showing both of my daughter's classes under just one of their names, even listing her name under her sisters class enrollee lists.
How do I unlink the student accounts?

Hi @thebohomama -
Unfortunately, this is something that the Canvas Community can't help with! (I wish we could!!) However, your local Canvas Administrator will be able to assist you. If you submit a Support Ticket or call the district office and ask for Canvas Help, they'll be able to "unmerge" the accounts for you.

How do I deal with a similar situation when I have a Free for Teachers Canvas account? A mom accidentally linked her and her son's account and now both his email and her email are associated with mom's name. And son's name has disappeared.
Do you know if there is a setting in the Admin settings to turn off this option? We just had a parent do this and WE were able to split them, but was hoping we could turn it off in our admin settings. We can't find a place to do that.
