Unlock and delete an announcement

Someone put an announcement into my course and locked it.  I would like to delete and put my own announcement in.  Need help.  Thx

I suspect you have found the solution after all this time, but I found this while looking for posts on a new problem with locking announcements.

1. Go to the Announcement Page
2. Select the announcement you wish to open
3. Go to the top right and select the Unlock Icon.
