When a discussion has the checkpoints option enabled the discussion no longer appears in the bulk date editor. This makes it more difficult to update all the dates for items in a course and makes it more likely a date will be missed. Practice quizzes also do not appear, which are also often missed/forgotten. When copying and building 50+ courses a term this makes it more time consuming and difficult and more likely for a date to not be updated.
Could there be a way for all assignments, discussions, and quizzes to be shown in the bulk date editor please?!

I wanted to let you know that I brought this to the attention of Canvas Support on 2025-05-09 after seeing your quesiton and just received the following response.
Thanks for reaching out, this is REMOVED FOR THEIR PRIVACY with L2 support. As I understand it, you were asking about the possibility to use the `Assignment bulk edit due date` option with discussion checkpoints.
Looking into this, it doesn't seem that users are able to update the assignment dates on the edit assignment dates page for discussions with checkpoints. That being said, this was brought up to our engineers, they are currently looking into modifying this functionality to also include discussions with Checkpoints.
We already have a ticket open with them to track any changes or updates regarding this matter. I have attached a tracker to your case and am putting your case on hold so that you will be notified as updates become available. If you have questions in the interim, feel free to reply to this email.

What a frustrating response from Canvas Support. I appreciate you also passing our recommendation along to them. Let's hope this post on the Canvas Community pushes them to investigate and potentially roll out this feature.
It seems the request as related to Practice Quizzes was ignored. At the very least there should be some sort of warning in the UX to indicate that Practice Quiz availability dates will not update upon import or copying of a course.
