Uploading user profile pictures in bulk

I work in Higher Education and at our school the profile pictures that appear in the LMS are the same ones that are on student ID's. As we are setting up our new Canvas site I was told that this is not possible in Canvas. Individual users can upload their profile pictures, but as an Admin there is not an easy interface to upload these pictures. In Moodle for example I can just add a zip file directly into the LMS and it adds the pictures assuming the profile pictures are named correctly.

Can Canvas add this to their system?
