What is the best way to video lectures without a webcam?

Hello  evangeline east,

You really can't record anything without a webcam. The good news is they are fairly inexpensive. Also most laptop computers have one built-in, smart phones and iPads all have a webcam built-in.  I encourage you to reach out to your IT folks to see what they have available to you.

Alternatively, you can use PowerPoint with audio.

so can I basically tape a lecture with my smartphone and upload to canvas? Is it compatible with canvas?
