When adding an app, what is a consumer key and shared secret?

Hi Mary,

Those are kind of like username and passwords and must be provided by the vendor of the app.  With some apps like Office 365 and Google Drive, if you read the instructions carefully there is a link to where you can generate your own consumer key and shared secrete.  More often though you'll need to either have access to an account on the vendor's site to get those, or even talk with a rep from the company. Many require you to license the product and this is how they tie the integration to your or your schools account.
