Why do some students not see images embedded in quiz questions?

A small minority of my students cannot see images I embed in quiz questions, even though they all get the same quiz.  I don't know if it's always the same students--I haven't had enough experience to find that or any other pattern  Is this a known problem?

This isn't a known problem, but one of the first troubleshooting suggestions I'd make to them is 
1. check to make sure they are using an up to date and supported browser Which browsers does Canvas support?

2. make sure they are on a strong internet connection that can load pages properly

3. clear the cache/cookies of their browser

 @vanderwp ‌, are all of the affected students using Safari? A default setting was changed by Safari in a recent update, and for those users, the solution is to disable "Prevent cross-site tracking" in their Safari preferences.
