Staff asked about limiting quiz to onsite network. When looking into we discovered we could define a IP Filter under Admin > Instance > Settings > Quiz IP Address Filters. Once set a staff member could click on the search and see list of defined IP ranges to use if under the old quiz format. Under the new format in order to use the IP Filter you need to know the start and end IP addresses.

Hi @clee1 ...
Thanks for sharing those screenshots. I am not 100% sure of an answer for you, but I *think* a reason why things are different for IP ranges between Classic Quizzes and New Quizzes is because New Quizzes is essentially a LTI tool that was built by Instructure (the folks that make Canvas). As you've probably noticed, the interfaces for Classic and New Quizzes are quite different...and there hasn't been exact parity between them (in both the kinds of settings that can be configured and in the kinds of question types that can be created). If this was something that you'd like to see implemented for New Quizzes, you could certainly submit that as an Idea here in the Community. Here are some documents for you to look at (check out the "Ideas and Themes" section):

Again...what I've posted above is just a guess, but I hope it might help in some way.

Thanks @Chris_Hofer.
Looks like already been mentioned and added to theme (https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Ideas/New-Quizzes-Allow-Instructors-to-Select-from-IP-Filt...).
@clee1 ...
Great find! I am glad that you've found that link! You'll want to follow that link and the bigger theme called:
Expand quiz settings for greater customization - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)
When and if it becomes open for voting, you'll be able to do that and also participate in the conversations about the topic.
